So after a very, very long hiatus in which I got a new job and had no free time and completely deserted this site, I am back.
A lot has been going on, as I’m sure any good Roadies know.
Colton has left the band in pursuit of being a solo artist. Andrew and Zach are still going strong, though! They are headed to Nashville soon, too!
I will be working on getting a new theme to reflect the change in the band.
I hope all Restless Road fans are having a great Thanksgiving today!
Last night the group rocked Big Band Week with their rendition of Life is a Highway. I hope everyone voted! And don’t forget to watch the results show tonight after your turkey!
On Wednesday night the boys performed the song “Footloose” from the movie of the same title for 80s week. They did amazing, as usual, and you can watch their performance below!
The boys’ performance got them through to the next round and they are now officially in the Top 10!
Incase you didn’t hear, tonight the X-Factor is having a special re-vote episode. Due to technical errors the contestants have to perform all new songs and had only 24 hours to practice! The boys just performed Don’t You Wanna Stay by Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson and, as usual, they killed it!
You can vote on the X-Factor USA website or APP and can also text your vote by texting 10 to 21523!
Restless Road had an article featuring them in Teen Vogue!
Unless you watch The X Factor every Tuesday and Wednesday night, you may not be familiar with Restless Road. But you will be, because the three adorable country music-crooning boys were brilliantly brought together by Simon Cowell (!), the same guy who introduced One Direction—to one another, and to the world. Meaning? They’re going to be a Big Deal.
We caught up with the guys on the heels of last night’s super impressive performance, and they couldn’t have been more gracious. “Having Simon as a mentor is awesome. We all grew up watching him on Idol and X Factor,” said Andrew Scholz. “Two years ago, he put One Direction together, and they’re a huge success. And now, having him put us together? It’s just crazy.”
We’re only a few weeks into season three, but these 18-year-old dudes from across the United States have already emerged as a frontrunner. “I don’t think any of us thought we’d be where we are in the competition, let alone have all these fans,” Zach Beeken told us. Andrew agreed, saying, “The reaction has been totally unexpected. It’s the best feeling in the world when the crowd reacts like that.” And by that he means the standing ovation, followed by a gazillion tweets of praise (and few marriage proposals) following last night’s rendition of “Roar.”
They’ve only had two performances together—ever!—so these guys are definitely ones to watch. When we asked what they have up those flannel sleeves of theirs, Colton Pack said, “Expect the unexpected! Simon is all about surprising America, and we don’t even know what to expect.” Then he added, “But we’re going to kill it every week.”
You gotta watch their X Factor intro video. They introduced themselves as a “man band,” which is hilarious and awesome. They also fish without shirts, so!
